Buckhorn Fine Art Festival

Concerts at the Barn Bringing culture and nature together in perfect harmony, the magnificent 400-seat timber-frame barn opens onto a lush meadow, surrounded by the gently rolling hills of Northumberland County.

Local Farmer's Markets This area has numerous Farmer's Markets so that you can enjoy the amazingly fresh and delicous produce from this region.

Havelock Country Jamboree - Annual Country Music Celebration celebrating their 21st season from August 19 - 22 2010.

Hope Mill Conservation Area The mill is a working water-powered mill. You can tour the mill and talk to volunteers who are using the antique equipment and creating things for sale there - proceeds to Hope Mill restoration. Every Sunday afternoon, from July 4 to August 30, and Tuesday afternoons from May 18 to September 28, (2010), you are invited to visit the Hope Mill for a demonstration of the sawmilling operation. The mill will be open to visitors from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. A $2.00 admission will be appreciated.

Indian River Reptile Zoo Over 200 reptiles. Here you can see snakes, lizards, monitors, alligators, turtles, crocodiles, and even special guest animals such as monkeys and more! The animals are housed in state of the art, climate controlled facilities which were specifically designed to house reptiles.

Lakefield Heritage promotes the heritage of the historic downtown core of the Village of Lakefield, through heritage walks and tours.

Lakefield Literary Festival celebrates its rich literary heritage each July on the weekend closest to Margaret Laurence’s birthday, and showcases many current Canadian authors. The festival was created to celebrate the work of Catharine Parr Traill, Susanna Moodie and Margaret Laurence, among others, all of whom lived and wrote in Lakefield.

Lang Pioneer Village Nestled along the banks of the historic Indian River close to Keene, Lang Pioneer Village Museum features over twenty restored and furnished buildings constructed between 1820 and 1899.

Millbrook and Cavan Historical

Millbrook Fair the 161st Millbrook fair will take place during the middle of June.

Ontario Speed Skating Oval is a non-profit organization mandated to build Ontario’s first 400 m temperature controlled, outdoor speed skating oval with an adjacent multi-purpose community use building.

Parks

Petroglyphs Provincial Park largest known concentration of Aboriginal rock carvings in Canada. Carved into the white marble rock face hundreds of years ago, the 900 petroglyphs depict turtles, snakes, birds, humans and other images. Hiking trails meander through surrounding forests, wetlands and rocky ridges.
