Art Gallery of Peterborough

Artspace Peterborough's artist-run centre, a non-profit organization committed to nurturing contemporary art and artists.

Canadian Canoe Museum The largest collection of canoes, kayaks and related artifacts in the world.  Much more than canoes, the high quality exhibits are designed to walk you through Canada's history by telling the story of aboriginal peoples, exploration and trade who all depended on Canada's extensive waterways as the highways of the north.

Hutchison House a living history museum, owned and operated by The Peterborough Historical Society, depicts 19th century pioneer life in Ontario.

Peterborough Lift Lock Opened in 1904 and designated as a Canadian National Historic Site, this is the highest hydraulic lift lock in the world.

Peterborough Museum and Archives

Riverview Park and Zoo wonderful zoo close to Trent University. Virtual tour is available of the various animals as well as the layout of the park. The zoo features 27 exhibits, with over 48 species, including Yak, Camel, Wallaby, Emu, Macaw, Squirrel Monkey, Cougar, Plated Lizard, Meerkat and more!  The park covers 55.5 acres and is the largest and most diversified playground in the city. It also features equipment for physically-challenged children.  With a splash pad, frisbee golf course, walking trails, a miniature train ride, and beautiful gardens the Riverview Park and Zoo has something for everyone.
